EKATERINA REYMAROVA
Psychologist (M. Sc.)

 

I am a practicing psychologist and a firm believer in humanity.

Within the scope of my Heilpraktiker license, I offer psychotherapeutic and counseling services addressing a wide range of psychological issues including addiction, anxiety, stress management, familial conflicts, consequences of abuse, relationship challenges, and personal growth.

Additionally, I have experience in supervising, training, and supporting other psychologists and psychotherapists within a framework of international organisations and projects.

To tell you more, I earned a First-Class Honours Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Dalhousie in Halifax, Canada, followed by a Master's degree in Psychology from Ludwig Maximilian's University in Munich, Germany. I also hold certificates in existential, trauma-oriented, mindfulness-focused approaches, and ACT. Moreover, I have completed trainings in working with addiction, codependence, and the consequences of abuse. Currently I am working on my PhD on trauma, depression & anxiety at the University of Greifswald.

I actively participate in ongoing training and professional development. To date, I have authored and supported multiple scientific publications and investigations in the areas of addiction, development, and crisis counselling. I regularly engage in professional supervision so I can stay well and work well. My professional experiences are also complemented by over 14 years of personal therapy. Lastly, I have completed over 200 hours of training in creative modalities of dance-movement practice, meditation, theatre-based interventions and art-focused methods of healing. Also, I am a member of German Psychological Society (DGPs) and regularly attend and present at conferences. In Germany, I hold a status of a Heilpraktiker for Psychotherapy.

I have changed countries and continents, therefore I can also draw from my experience of immigration, adaptation, and adjustment.

I believe in a collaborative and client-centered approach to counselling. By fostering a safe and non-judgmental space, I empower individuals to explore their thoughts and emotions, develop coping strategies, and work towards meaningful change. I work in an integrative and existential approaches, carefully selecting what works and aligns with individual client needs.

In my work, I am aware and can work in parallel with various 12 step self-help programs such as AA, NA, ACA, and others.
